INFLUENCE OF THE TOPOLOGY OF A SOLID BODY ON ITS MASS CONDUCTIVITY
The problem on the mass transfer in a solid body under conditions where the concentration of the substance distributed in the body remains unchanged at its surface was formulated and solved analytically on the basis of the generalized differential mass-conduction (diffusion) equation for bodies different in shape (an unbounded plate, an endless cylinder, and a sphere). The infl uence of the topology of a solid body on the time changes in the concentration of a substance distributed in it at its center, the concentration of the distributed substance averaged over the volume of the body, and the gradient of the concentration of this substance at the surface of the body was numerically analyzed.
