VELOCITY FIELD OF GAS FLOW IN THE EXTERNAL WAVE FIELD NEAR AN OPEN END OF A TUBE IN TRANSITION THROUGH A RESONANCE FREQUENCY



The velocity fi eld of gas fl ow fi eld has been studied under forced longitudinal oscillations of homogeneous gas in an open tube near the fi rst natural frequency. Dependences of gas velocity in the axial direction in the external wave fi eld at different distances from the open end of the tube have been obtained. Experimental results have been compared to theoretical calculations.
