MHD FLOW OF A ROTATING FLUID PAST A VERTICAL POROUS FLAT PLATE IN THE PRESENCE OF CHEMICAL REACTION AND RADIATION


The MHD flow of a rotating fluid past a vertical porous flat plate in the presence of chemical reaction and radiation is studied. The chemical reaction is  assumed to be of the first order. The dimensionless governing equations are solved numerically  using  the  finite  element  method.  The  effects  of  various  physical  parameters  on  the  complex  velocity, temperature, and concentration fields across the boundary layer are investigated.  It is observed that the concentration  decreases with increase in the chemical reaction parameter and the temperature increases with the radiation parameter.
